Laura Crum is a writer living in Santa Cruz California. She is best known for her mystery series featuring equine veterinarian Gail McCarthy. Laura has spent twenty years training and showing western cowhorses and has used her background to create a unique blend of mystery and the modern west.
Cutter, Hoofprints, Roughstock, Roped, Slickrock, Breakaway, Hayburner, Forged, and Moonblind, the first nine books in the Gail McCarthy series are still available.. Laura has been invited to join
equestrianink -- a group
of writers who have published equestrian fiction.She will be writing a
regular Wednesday blog on the subject of horses and writing starting March
19th 2008.
Laura will also be doing a booksigning for Chasing Cans Sunday March 30th at 2:30 PM at the Capitola Bookcafe (near Santa Cruz, California). This event will also include mystery writers Rhys Bowen and Camille Minichino. If you happen to be in the area and want to come, email for directions.
